Diablo 4’s events happen 50 years after the culmination of Diablo 3, and with the world a vastly different place than it used to be, various gameplay mechanics have also been updated for you to streamline your playing style when fighting against Lilith’s forces (presumably, Inarius’ too).
After the recent Server Slam allowed everyone to test the game for free, the major changes that have been implemented in the game have not gone unnoticed.
Want to spend more time enjoying the core gameplay instead of repeating the same daily tasks? Top up options available on U7BUY support popular games such as Last War top up, Kingshot top up, and Honkai Star Rail top up by helping players access in game resources more efficiently, reducing the need for constant grinding and allowing smoother progression through story content, events, and endgame activities.
Here are some of the most prominent ones identified so far:
1. GEAR SOCKETS
In the new game, Jewellers can now add an empty gem slot/ socket onto your chosen gear/ weapons/ armours.
This process will require certain number of materials to be used, and gold to be paid, depending on the item’s tier.
Still, you are GUARANTEED an empty socket/ slot for the use of powerful gems or runes, which is something not doable in Diablo 3 previously.
This way, you can now plan your character builds more efficiently, omitting unpredictable RNG (random number rolls).
2. ASPECTS
Occultists are a new type of NPC/ vendor that can help you to imprint Aspects, which are essentially passive effects that boost a particular gear’s stat, skill level, or other boons.
Not only are Aspects game-changers, they are also removable and can be reapplied to other gear when needed, as long as you meet the Occultist’s gold fee and material requirements.
At the moment, only Rare and Legendary items can have Aspects imprinted onto them, with the process needing a Codex of Power or an Aspect available inside your inventory.
3. UPGRADING GEAR
Blacksmiths are as indispensable as the other two (2) types of vendors mentioned earlier too.
In Diablo 4, you can now upgrade your low-level items by hiring the Blacksmith to make your gear stronger.
Again, the Blacksmith will ask for specific materials and gold to do so, according to the weapon/ armour in question.
Still, this is exciting because casual players can still stay relevant when visiting higher-levelled raids or dungeons without needing to endlessly grind for powerful loot beforehand. Browse u7buy to read more about upgrading gear.
4. GEAR CUSTOMISATION
Diablo 4 expands on its predecessor’s gear customisation options, this time allowing you to craft armour sets from those that were salvaged throughout your journey.
Although the general mechanic here isn’t exactly detailed as of yet, the idea is that you can create a low-level cool-looking gear that was salvaged earlier, and then apply it to your currently-equipped one to change its appearance as so, all without changing your current stats and effects.
In fact, you can even change the colours of your armour now too, by visiting the respective vendor (possibly the Blacksmith).
Bear in mind, as with everything else, you need to collect the respective materials and have enough gold on you first.
5. WORLD BOSSES
Taking cues from the encounter with the World Boss, Ashava, during Server Slam, there will be many more instances like it in Diablo 4, when the game arrives on 6th June.
Basically, randomised elite monsters will invade Sanctuary, and you will need to cooperate with other players to bring it down within a 15-minute timer.
Obviously, successfully defeating them will yield extraordinary loot, including hard-to-earn Legendary items.
It’s a tried-and-proven system that has been applied by MMORPGs to this very day, and might be one of the more refreshing concepts to be added into the game.
6. RANDOMISED WORLD EVENTS
Speaking of MMORPG systems, global World Events/ Quests will appear in Diablo 4 too.
Basically, random scenarios can play out while you’re out and about around Sanctuary, and you’ll have the freedom to participate in them, or move on with your life as usual.
Clearly, if you do partake in them, unique rewards can be obtain upon completion, so this can be another great way to strengthen your character while exploring the world at the same time.
7. ACTIVE CUT SCENES
Throughout the Diablo series, cut scenes have always played a major part in bridging different parts of the story.
This is the same for Diablo 4 as well, but this time, cut scenes are more ‘active’, to which your character actually appears in many of them, while for those that don’t, they feel more personal and hands-on, unlike previous Diablo games.
Plus, the cut scenes are also high-definition, thanks to current-gen hardware and graphics.
8. DODGE SKILL
Every Diablo game has its own iteration of a ‘dodge’ mechanic, either by way of class-specific skills or weapon mastery.
In Diablo 4, EVERY class receives a universal dodge skill, which refreshes for a couple of seconds every time you use it.
This makes combat much more fun, especially for Mana-based characters like the Sorceress.
Don’t expect Elden Ring levels of dodging, though, because this is an ARPG, so remember to time your dodges/ dashes well, to not waste it when going up against one-hit-kill attacks.
So, are you excited for Diablo 4 now?
If you’ve noticed it by now, a lot of the new mechanics will make use of Diablo 4 Gold, so always visit U7Buy if you want to add more into your account once the game releases next month!
