Rema Mavin was born Divine Ikubor on February 6, 2001 in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria and he was also raised there by his Christian parents, he attended both Primary and Secondary School education in Benin City, Edo State.
Musical Career
Rema Mavin began to sing and rap at a very young age and he was popularly known for his trap musical style and he sang at churches, schools and everywhere he went to and his fame grew around Benin City and he also created a band with his friends and they soon began to make waves round Benin City.
In Early 2018, he was discovered by Nigerian singer D’Prince who is also the CEO of Jonzingworld Record Label and younger brother to Nigerian artiste and producer Don Jazzy who is also the CEO of Mavin Records.
According to D’Prince, after listening to Rema, he knew he was a raw talent and an artiste he needed the whole world to hear and in late 2018, he introduced Rema to Don Jazzy and he then struck an agreement and got signed to both Mavin Record Label and Jonzingworld Record.
Mavin Record boss, Don Jazzy also revealed in an interview that Rema is an artiste with embodiment of skills, talent and versatility and he is unique and therefore has a unique place in the musical heights in both Africa and the world as a whole.
Rema then went on to release his first single under Mavin titled ‘Iron Man’ and the song became an instant heat and he has also released other songs such as Lavida featuring D’Prince, Dumebi, Corny, American Love, Spiderman, Boulevard, Trap out the submarine and he also collaborated with DJ Big N to release Ogologoma.
