The adventures of Miles Morales as an amateur Spidey have gripped viewers worldwide thanks to Sony’s unique take on the first movie’s animation, direction, and inclusion of a plethora of Spidermen from different universes. Marvel’s ‘Into The Spider-verse’ was a brilliant take on the story of a black teen who goes through the trials and tribulations of teenagehood. Things get shaken up when he accidentally messes with the nefarious plans of Wilson Fisk and (tl;dr) opens up a portal that spews forth a boatload of Spideys from different multiverses.

Now, since a sequel was imminent anyway thanks to the massive success of the first movie, we’re going to have Miles swashbuckling through another set of multiverses with new and returning Spideys. Across the Spider-verse is still months away from release but we have a good amount of spicy details ready in this article ‘o ours. Just like the first movie, Marvel will probably be posting the sequel on streaming websites like Disney+ so those of you who can’t make it to theatres can enjoy the movie, eventually, from the comfort of your home.

To ensure that you get to see all the action and color stricken across the movie, make sure to equip yourself with a home internet that won’t let you down. We recommend ATT Fiber Internet solely because of its superiority in not just speed, but amazing deals and reliability. Now, without further ado, let’s swing on ahead and feast our eyes on some of the friendly, multiversal neighborhood Spidermen set to bless our screens.

Spiderman (Miles Morales)

Let’s get the obvious one out of the way. Miles will be returning as our titular protagonist who, most of the time, acts first and thinks later. And that’s where all the fun comes in. Miles will be going up against Miguel O Hara who is formally known as Spiderman 2099. Ever since the first movie and Miles’ inclusion in Insomniac’s Spiderman games, fans have come to love our black superhero. This time around, our superhero from Boston will be a wee bit mature with his dealings and it’ll be interesting to see how he intends to go up against a Spiderman that is not only far bigger than him but also a total badass.

Spider Gwen

A familiar face, or mask, however, you want to see it. Gwen was previously seen in Into the Spider-verse, forging a lasting alliance with Miles and helping him take down Fisk. Fans know her as a calm-headed Spidey who cares about her friends and isn’t afraid to put up a fight for a good cause. She has also been called “Ghost-Spider” which makes sense considering her attire is mostly white with red and black accents.

Spiderman (Peter Parker)

Same old, same old. Miles’ mentor and the mainstream Spidey, Peter Parker, is also set to make his return. At the end of the first movie, SPOILER ALERT, Parker became a father after reuniting with the love of his life. He now has a relatively stable life and we’ll be seeing him swinging while donning the regular, but still amazing as heck, red and blue suit.

Spiderman 2099 (Miguel O’ Hara)

If there was ever going to be a Spidey who’d look cool while doing extremely questionable stuff, it was going to be Miguel. Hailing all the way from 2099 and the leader of the “Spider-Force”, Miguel leads an ensemble of Spider men from different universes. Since he resorts to justice, which can often get harsh, it’s understandable that Miles and Miguel might not be seeing eye to eye. At least for the first bit of the movie.

Spider-Punk (Hobart Brown)

Created as a nod to the British era of punk rock, Hobart Brown is a very cool and flamboyant addition to the Spidermen lineup. Spider-Punk has a flashy appearance; he wears a sleeveless denim jacket on top of a regular, gritty-looking Spiderman suit. On top of thatsuit. Taking his style one step ahead, he wears spikey wristbands and even has a Mohawk of spikes going down his mask. Outrageously cool. Just like punk rock.

Japanese Spiderman

Probably the only spidey that doesn’t web sling. Created by Toei Animation, Takuya Yamashiro is the animated reincarnation of the Japanese Spiderman live-action TV show all the way back from the 1970s. This Spidey is special in that he is actually a motorcycle racer and even has his very own giant robot mech. The Japanese weren’t coming slow with this concept.

Scarlet Spider

Originally created as Peter Parker’s evil clone, Ben Reilly would soon go on to become a hero in his own right. Scarlet Spider is a massive hit among comic book fans and his appearance in the movie will surely rile up long-time fans.

Superior Spiderman

In an alternate timeline where Doctor Otto Octavius switches consciousness with Peter Parker, we have the famous villain becoming Spiderman in the hopes of showing everyone that he can do it better. He even calls himself “Superior” just for that reason and gives the spidey suit a visual overhaul by making it black and red. Curious indeed.

Conclusion

That’s a wrap on our selection of amazing Spider men that will be coming to the big screen later this year. Judging from the number of spideys Marvel still has in its belt, no wonder the company has been having a blast making movies about where they come from and how they operate. Catch Miles and the others swinging through, yet again, this summer of 2023.
