Holding began his football career by playing for the Youth team of Bolton Wanderers, he later went on to play for the senior team side from 2014 to 2016 where he made 26 appearances and scored 1 goal, he later moved to Bury on loan for the whole of 2015 and made 1 appearance and in 2016 he made a move to Arsenal.
Holding has also featured in his national team side as he played for England U21 making 5 appearances from 2016 to 2017.
