Edward Norton was born Edward Harrison Norton on the 18th of August, 1969 in Boston, Massachusetts and he was raised in Columbia, Maryland, he was born to his father named Edward Mower Norton Jr., who served in Vietnam as a Marine Lieutenant and he later became an environmental lawyer and advocate and he was born to his mother named Lydia Robinson Norton, who worked as a teacher before she passed away in 1997 due to brain tumor, Norton’s grandfather named James Rouse was the founding father of The Rouse Company and he was among those who developed Baltimore’s inner Harbor.
Norton grew up with two younger siblings named Molly Norton and Jim Norton and he began to perform at a very young age, his debut performance was at the Columbia Center for Theatrical Arts (CCTA) and he was coached by famous director Toby Orenstein and in a bid to sharpen his acting skills, he and his brother enrolled at the Camp Pasquaney in Bristol, New Hampshire and he went on to win an acting trophy in 1984.
