After graduating from College, Blackshear joined the military and this allowed him to travel a lot and gain acting experiences and being in the military also allowed him to mix with a lot of cultures which has enabled him to fit into different acting roles, it was after being discharged from the military that he began pursuing his dreams of becoming an actor.
