    Andy Serkis was born Andrew Clement Serkis on the 20th of April, 1964 in Ruislip, Middlesex, England, United Kingdom and he was also raised there, Serkis was born to a mother named Lylie Serkis and she was an English woman and worked as a teacher while his father named Clement Serkis was an Iraqi-born gynecologist of Armenian descent, his father wasn’t always with them as he was away in the Middle East where he worked and this prompted Serkis and his siblings with their mother to always spend the vacation periods in the Middle East.

    Serkis attended the St. Benedict’s School which is located in Ealing before he then enrolled at the Lancaster University where he graduated with a degree in visual arts, while in University he became a member of the Country College and also joined the Student Radio station Bailrigg Fm and while working for the radio station he was in charge of producing plays, and as time went on Serkis began to pick interest in acting while in University and this prompted him to appear in a lead role in Barrie Keeffe’s Play titled Gotcha.
