Fiona Xie was born on January 24, 1982 in Singapore and she was born to her Singaporean father named Kaum Xie and her mother Taraine Xie and she was also raised in Singapore.
Fiona Xie attended St. Hilda’s Secondary School and she later enrolled at Temasek Polytechnic.

Fiona Xie began her career as a model in High School, she was spotted by a talent agency and they groomed and tutored her and as time went on, she began to model for many print and television commercials in Singapore and Hong Kong and in 2001, she joined MediaCorp as a full time artiste.
She made her acting debut when she starred as a nurse in channel 5 drama Growing up, her performance caught the eyes of many directors and she then went on to star in her breakthrough role in the Channel 8 sitcom My Genie and after a while as an actress, she also delved into show hosting and she has hosted the series City Beat and more.
