Goldblum was raised in a Jewish family and his family emigrated from Russia and Austria to the United States, due to the interest he had in acting, he moved to New York City at the age of 17 to pursue a career in acting, he appeared in various Theatre auditions before making his Broadway debut in the play titled Two Gentlemen of Veronica.
