Finally, spring is here, and new movies this week have followed with exciting TV shows. So naturally, even though we may be preparing to put the blankets away, we still seek the next movie or series to keep us cozy and occupied on our couches. But with so many streaming services and a wide variety of content, choosing what to watch can occasionally seem like the most challenging part of selecting a movie.

Be reassured since we are here to analyze every new Netflix original movie that debuts in April 2023. As usual, we’ll make this list of new movies this week as varied as possible so that everyone can find something they enjoy. 

Netflix has successfully investigated species from Troll to Viking Wolf through different perspectives. They are expecting Chupa will be another success because of this. Chupa, set in Mexico, centers on a 13-year-old named Alex (Evan Whitten), who becomes friends with a young chupacabra puppy. Latin American folkloric animals, chupacabras, are frequently held accountable for unexpected cow losses on ranches. On the other hand, Chupa will transform the monster into a cuddly friend as the child forges a lifelong bond with his new furry friend and tries everything in his power to protect him. It’s a bizarre idea that will undoubtedly appeal to anyone searching for a quirky comedy to watch next.

  • The Last Kingdom: Seven Kings Must Die (Release Date: 14-Apr-2023)

The fifth and last season of The Last Kingdom debuted on Netflix last year, purportedly bringing Uhtred of Bebbanburg’s (Alexander Dreymon) saga to a close. However, The Last Kingdom: Seven Kings Must Die adds a new chapter to Uhtred’s story. This two-hour movie will cover loose ends and allow viewers to say goodbye to their preferred historical drama in style. 

Seven King Must Die will examine the political disputes between the pretenders to the throne after King Edward’s passing. Uhtred may be prevented from protecting the people he cares about from harm by his ambition to fight for a united England. Fans of The Last Kingdom can take heart from Luther: Fallen Sun’s recent demonstration that a canceled series can nevertheless live on in the film.

In the film, Rachael Leigh Cook plays Amanda, a member of the travel business who decides to fly to Vietnam immediately following the traumatic and unplanned termination of a personal engagement

Amanda wants to go to the other side of the world and immerse herself in her profession. But instead, she’ll make friends, learn about a new culture, and come to terms with her true self. Her Vietnamese expatriate tour guide, Scott Ly’s Sinh, will also win her heart. It sounds like the perfect feel-good picture to cap out April and one that any fan of rom-coms should watch.
